Have you ambitions for building your own home? This may not be
as complicated as you first imagine. Certainly building a house is much more
complex than buying a house, and likewise obtaining finance for a self build
project is alot more involved than acquiring a standard mortgage. However we are
here to help.
How we can help
We have teamed up with experienced self build finance
packager 'BuildLoan' through ourselves and 'buildloan' you can be sure the
following procedures will be met: -
- Assist you in obtaining and completing your costings for
the build. (The costings are then used to calculate the cost of the additional
cashflow benefit)
- Arrange and ensure the release of funds directly into your
bank account (except for first release for purchase of land which will go to
the conveyancer) within the agreed timescale.
- Manage the stage release process throughout your build.
- Plot search - with over 9,000 plots on BuildLoan's database
to help you find the perfect building plot.
- Tradecard - Buildloan will provide you with their trade
card, free of charge, which will give you access to the same sorts of
discounts on materials a housebuilder would get.
- Site insurance - provide the right type of cover to make
sure thjat the project and yourselves are fully covered throughout the build.
- Structural warranty - protecting your new home for 10 years
against major building defects. Also helps with the saleability of the
property.
- Legal services - we can provide you with a solicitor who is
an expert in dealing with land transactions - helping to speed up the whole
process.
- Free entry into the National Self Build and Renovation Centre

The National Self Build & Renovation Centre
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre has been built on a
scale unseen in the UK. Based in Swindon (J16 M4) it's a must see if you are considering
a self build, conversion or renovation.
You may never have thought about what goes into building or
renovating a home. So much of the knowledge needed is hidden from view or
littered with jargon. But here it's possible to walk through exhibits that lay
bare and contrast the various methods of building in exploded detail.
Headphones are provided for an in-depth guided audio tour
of the Centre to help you get right into the detail! There's also a 30 minute
audio tour with Tommy Walsh through the renovation house, one of two permanent
houses at the Centre, as he highlights the problems of this amazing renovation
and recommends his solutions.
In the Trade Village, the latest products and gadgets are
on show to enhance your home or renovation project. |

Combining technology with
Energy saving ideas including lighting, sound systems, kitchens and flooring
with 240+ permanent exhibition stands.
There are orientation seminars, open house sessions with
experts and new for 2009, step by step self build courses for you to participate
in. There's also a programme of exhibitions throughout the year with guest
celebrity appearances.
